Steamboat Ranch Property

Some properties in Steamboat have dedicated themselves to preserving the ranching community of Steamboat. A few places that are particularly notable for this type of lifestyle are described below. If this lifestyle sounds like it would suit you well, feel free to contact me. I would love the opportunity to discuss some of the beautiful areas that surround Steamboat Springs.

Marabou Ranch, located about 15 minutes outside of downtown, has created an elegant community that offers luxury homes on a working ranch; allowing you work as much or little as you prefer. Horseback riding, fishing and BBQs are all part of daily life.

Storm Mountain Ranch is only minutes away from downtown and is a conservation development led to preserve the land with only a few properties dotted throughout the 1,100 acres.

Catamount Lake & Ranch Club simply helps to accentuate the best Steamboat has to offer and provides an area where an active lifestyle is yours to enjoy with your family in all seasons.

Private Ranches - These can be found throughout the South Valley and around Steamboat Springs.  Here you have the ability to oen your own horses, livestock and more.

Steamboat's history is steeped in the ranching heritage. Before Howelson Hill or Mt. Werner existed, the valley was populated with ranchers, making a living off the land. Today, much of that heritage remains. Within fifteen minutes of town, tall grasses are still hayed and rivers and streams flow and meander between the fields and mountains. Open windows carry the scent of mown grass, lavender and rain-swept air.

Living outside of town offers seclusion and privacy while being only a short drive from downtown and Steamboat's nightlife. A few minutes more and you're at Mt. Werner and world-class skiing.

One of the best aspects of living in these communities is the combination of activities they offer. With horse back riding, cross country skiing, fishing and more your family will love coming to Steamboat as much as you will.
