Beautiful Powder Day in Steamboat
The snow conditions in Steamboat are fantastic for early in the season. Looking at this picture, its hard to believe this was taken yesterday, almost a week before Thanksgiving. The ski area is currently boasting 74 total inches of snow and a 32" base. The photo above was taken by a friend, Jay Kinghorn, who was out on Buffalo Pass yesterday. Located just a few miles outside of Downtown Steamboat Springs, Buff Pass often gets more snow than the mountain, making it a great place for backcountry skiing. We are heading out tomorrow to get a few turns in before the mountain opens up on Wednesday, check back for some more pictures!
