Every year, it never ceases to amaze us how caring of a community Steamboat Springs is. Each July we choose a Saturday and volunteer along with Bridget and Paul Ferguson at City Market to collect produce for our local food bank. This year we challenged the community to not only help us collect fresh produce, but also reach a donation level of $5,000 so we could match that!

The charm and character of Ski Town USA doesn't end at the base area. Surrounding Steamboat Springs are some of the most amazing "small towns" you will ever set foot in.

South of Steamboat lie the towns of Oak Creek, Yampa, and Phippsburg (which locals call P-Burg). Small grocery stores, family-owned restaurants, SOROCO schools, and quaint coffee shops line the streets. Neighborhood parks and biking trails bring adventure to your back yard.

Head north of Steamboat towards the Zirkel Wilderness area and Steamboat Lake. On the way, you pass through the ranching town of Clark. Stop in the Clark County store for groceries, provisions, and most importantly, lunch. Take a right on Seedhouse Rd for some of the best hiking, snowmobiling and backcountry skiing

September 28 - October 7

Restaurant week is an exciting week for both restaurateurs and diners. Owners and chefs are able to showcase their favorite dishes and craft menus specifically designed for the week and diners are able to get a "taste" of what Steamboat has to offer. From Southern fried chicken to wild game inspired dishes to Spanish-flavored tapas, everyone will find something to please their palate. With almost every local restaurant participating, we wanted to put the spotlight on a couple that we love, however, we recommend trying them all! :)

Who doesn't like good ole Southern comfort food?! We love Low's Happy Hour and strongly recommend getting in to try one of their fried chicken

Last night, Jon and Wendy Wade, owners of The Steamboat Group heard the news that thousands of dollars had been stolen from the Run Rabbit Run Race this past weekend in Steamboat Springs. They along with their two children, Alden and Neve had volunteered Friday evening beginning at 5pm until the following morning to help aid runners along the trails on Emerald Mountain with food and water. As an organization, The Steamboat Group strives to help Keep Steamboat Special by supporting local nonprofits and initiatives that align with our team's interests and passions. Since The Steamboat Group team is made up of bikers, runners, hikers and outdoor enthusiasts who all share a love for this community, it wasn't even a second thought for the office to come

This past July was yet again another successful Token Tuesday at Mountain Tap Brewery, located just below our offices at 910 Yampa St. The Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund was one of the four beneficiaries from last month's fundraiser. As an office of mountain bikers and supporters of our community's trails, we decided as a team to match the funds raised for The Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund from our TSG Fund.

Upon the closing of every home, our team makes a donation into the TSG Fund which is held at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. Over the last year and a half, we have donated over $40,000, which is about $5,000 per agent. Our team then partners with YVCF and the community to allocate money from The TSG Fund to local nonprofits with

In early June, The Steamboat Group embarked on the mission of collecting 1-Ton or 2,000 lbs of fresh produce to support Lift Up of Routt County's July Produce drive. We rallied the office troops and began spreading the word about the event. Our owners Jon and Wendy Wade donated a brand new 256gb iPhone X to be raffled off to one lucky winner who donated to the fresh produce drive. At our July 4th Client Party at the base of Howelsen, we handed out reusable grocery bags with smaller flyers reminding everyone that we would be at City Market that Saturday from 9 am until 2 pm collecting numerous items from a produce suggestion list provided by Lift Up. Lift Up sent information about the event to the paper and local radio stations. We all were more motivated
