The late season snow got us excited and yesterday morning we took a few runs in the 10" of new snow before heading into work. Realizing (but hoping against the idea) that this could be one of the last big powder days we implemented our Powder Clause and enjoyed the morning on the mountain.  The powder felt like January snow, as light and fluffy as Champagne powder can be, and blew past and behind us with each turn.  While enjoying the new snow, we  unfortunately missed getting footage from up on 'No Names', which we decided was one of the best runs of the year...Next time!  Hope you enjoy the video below and hope to see you out on the mountain this weekend!

From the Steamboat Pilot: "Being named a school to watch makes the middle school a model for other schools across the country, Lauer said. She said a couple of aspects above the middle school stood out. If you compare Steamboat Springs to other schools, they have very high student achievement and they have very high growth,” Lauer said. “The teachers and staff at Steamboat are doing the work so students are achieving more and more every year.
