Resort occupancy rises in Steamboat
Posted by The Steamboat Group on Friday, May 21st, 2010 at 2:41pm.There is only so much time to spend with your family and friends outdoors so people are starting to get back to play. The demand for lodging in ski towns is trending upward for summer. Reservations are beginning to turn around and we are seeing it in Steamboat Overall lodging demand in resorts across Colorado is showing signs of a rebound this year, mirroring the national upward trend projected to continue this summer and into 2011.
"We're starting to see that demand is coming back and occupancy is coming back," RRC Associates Director David Belin said during Economic Summit 2010 at The Steamboat Grand. "For the week ending May 15, nationwide occupancy was again up 4.4% from the same week the year before," Berlin said. "The fact that we're seeing occupancy come back is a very positive sign."
In 2011, everything is projected to be more positive because businesses are traveling more and travel seems to be coming back into play. We continue to raise our customer service experience, even with everything going on around us. It's an excellent indicator of what makes us Ski Town USA.
