Land Conservation is one of the many things that makes Steamboat special
Posted by The Steamboat Group on Thursday, September 1st, 2011 at 11:15pm.Our open valleys are one of the things that grab newcomers hearts and grow even more special over time.
Routt County's big open valley's are a result of a combination of our hesitance to lose these assets, zoning to keep it that way a deeply ingrained resitance to annexing more land into the city and significant local efforts to preserve large ranches in Perpetuity. We have been able to conserve some very special areas, maintain our agricultural heritage and keep large slices of land open. Steamboat magazine has an excellent article this month our Routt County's Land Conservation Crusade. If you want to know more about this or Steamboat Ranches, just give me a call at 970-879-0879.
