Originally from Virginia, I started my life off as a military kid. We were stationed in Colorado where my family fell in love with the mountains and moved here permanently. I have spent most of my youth and adulthood under the shadow of Pikes Peak, in Colorado’s front range. I have been fortunate to live all over the U.S., and even for a short time in the, Dominican Republic, but the Colorado mountains have always had my heart and kept calling me home.

My introduction to the real estate world came in 2004 when I started working at Stewart Title in the marketing department and later as executive assistant. My husband, Shawn, and I started our family in 2006 when our son, Peter Maddox, was born. Nineteen months later, his sister, Eliana,

As the sun starts to set a little earlier over the Yampa Valley and the crisp morning air breaks to beautiful afternoons, the peaks and valleys surrounding Steamboat Springs transform into one of the most beautiful spots in the state. Autumn is upon us and there is no better time to enjoy this wonderful place we call home. Many locals are calling this one of the most spectacular displays of colors they have seen in years. There is still time to enjoy the wonderful colors surrounding Routt County, but the seasons are changing quickly and the magic could disappear overnight.

Fall is unforgettable in Steamboat Springs. Our favorite fall activities range from riding the golden stands of Aspens on Emerald Mountain, hiking the trails around

We at Steamboat Group are pleased to announce that we have created The Steamboat Group Fund at the Yampa Valley Community Foundation. We have committed to make a donation into the fund each time one of our team members helps someone buy or sell a home. We then grant the money to local causes that we are involved in.

This year, we are proud to announce that The Steamboat Group has already donated almost $10,000 to several local causes including School organizations, Partners, Bike Town, SSWSC, the Trail Maintenance Fund as well as a few others. Our goal for the new fund is to donate another $10,000 in the second half of this year and over $25,000 in 2017.

Great News! The Steamboat Real Estate Market continues to improve in 2016 as we expected in our year end report. Sales in dollars increased 20% in the first half and the number of properties sold increased 6.6% so average prices increased fairly significantly as the supply of properties has come down. It’s worth noting that some parts of the market haven’t moved much yet value wise and some have moved up more than the market so ask us if you wonder how the value of your property has changed. Fortunately, the positive change in values has helped it make sense for more people to sell so the market is fairly balanced overall.

Just give us a call if you are considering buying, selling, or would like to know what your property is worth today. You
